Krasiczyn castle

The castle in Krasiczyn is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful monuments of the Polish Renaissance and one of the most important attractions located near Przemyśl. It is also a place very often visited by the inhabitants of Przemyśl, who love to walk through the park located in the castle on Sunday.

The castle has a very turbulent history behind it, but despite numerous fires and wars, it has remained almost unchanged. In the seventeenth century, a castle was built in the form of a quadrangle with beautiful towers in the corners, each with its own name: Divine Tower – with a chapel, Papal Tower – in which there were also guest rooms for high church dignitaries, Royal Tower and Noblemen’s Tower – which was supposed to reflect then the most important centers of power, including the division into ecclesiastical and secular authority. Intra-gate with a gate and a square Clock Tower led to the center, in front of which there was a drawbridge, which was later changed into a stone one.

Since 1996, thanks to “Agencja Rozwoju Przemysłu S.A.”, renovation, construction and conservation works were carried out, which led to the creation of a modern tourist, hotel and gastronomic base.
