The National Museum of Przemyśl

The National Museum of Przemyśl is the largest museum in the city. Housed in a new building, built in 2008 on the place of tenement houses destroyed during World War II, only 200 meters from the Bike Rooms Apartaments in Przemyśl. In the interior of the museum, which is over a hundred years old, there are the largest museum collections in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship. It is worth to see exhibitions devoted to sacred art, the Przemyśl Fortress and other temporary exhibitions.

The museum’s storages include, among others, extensive collections concerning the scientific work of professor Rudolf Weigl: elements of laboratory equipment of the institute, books and scientific journals with publications of scientific papers, photographs and newspapers with articles on the subject of proffesor Weigl, donated to a large extent by proffesor Stefan Kryński.
